Nokia Mobile concluded 2021’s global announcements of its phones with the Nokia G50 and seems to begin 2022 with the next generation of Nokia G series phones. Revealed first by @evleaks, the new Nokia G21 (codenamed Shadowcat Plus) and Nokia G11 (codenamed Shadowcat) have now made it to the retailer listings in the UAE and Russia.
The Nokia G11, as per the UAE retailers, will have 3 GB of RAM coupled with 32 GB of internal storage and be available in two colours, namely, Ice and Charcoal.

Then come the Russian retailers, who always like to reveal more than just the colours and memory configurations of the device, with the Nokia G21’s specifications. The model number TA-1418 confirms that the device which passed FCC last month with the new camera housing design and other model numbers TA-1401, TA-1404, TA-1405, TA-1412, and TA-1415 is Nokia G21.
The device will don Blue and Dusk colours. It will measure 164.6 x 75.9 x 8.5 mm and weigh about 190 g. There will be a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 * 720 p) screen fit in an aspect ratio of 20:9, 4 GB of RAM with either 64 or 128 GB of internal storage, support for up to 512 GB of external storage, a 5050 mAh battery, and a USB Type-C port. As per FCC, there might also be a 3 GB RAM variant with 64 GB of internal storage for other markets.

The device will mostly get a 10 W charger in the box, but the listings also mention Quick Charge. It explains why a 20 W adapter was also tested during the FCC certification. While the FCC reports hinted that the device has a Unisoc chip beneath, the listings further reveal that it might be an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.6 GHz. The clock rate matches that of Unisoc T606, but then the listings may not be completely accurate at this point.
The camera specifications are the same as mentioned in FCC documents. An 8 MP front camera and a 50 MP primary camera accompanied with two other cameras of 2 MP and an LED flash at the back. Apart from that, the Nokia G21 will also support LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), and GPS/AGPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo positioning systems.

The Nokia G21 shares its design with the US-exclusive Nokia G400, but both devices may not run on the same Android version out of the box. While the Nokia G400 is supposed to come out in Q2 with Android 12 and no promise of OS upgrades, the Nokia G21 will possibly operate on Android 11 as per the multiple tests recorded on HTML5test.

With Android 11 on board, a Q1 launch date would suit both Nokia G11 and Nokia G21. Nokia Mobile would probably not want the new generation of Nokia X series phones to ship with an older version of Android, and they might arrive sometime later.
