
Motorola smartphones getting Android 12 update
The list of Moto phones that will receive the Android 12 upgrade has been provided by Motorola. Surprisingly, Android 12 will be available on only 30 handsets from the company, including special edition models. The Motorola smartphones, in the lineup, includes both new and classic phones. Google’s Material You design will be included in the Android 12-based update, with My UX skin on top for personalizing the user experience. Users will also be able to add the all-new conversation widget to their home screens, which will display several discussions. New accessibility features such as Area Magnification, Extra Dim, Bold Text, and Gray Scale will be available in the Android 12-based update as well. With the aid of a new indication that will be featured on the status bar, users who get the stipulated update will be able to see whether an app is utilizing the microphone or camera.
According to the above-mentioned blog post, the Android 12 OS update is now under closed beta testing and will be released to the public in February 2022 via an OTA update. It’s presently uncertain which Motorola phones will be the first to receive the Android 12 upgrade, but we expect a gradual release for all the smartphones in the first half of 2022.
